Her story: Emergency Puppy Polly is now searching for her forever home. The adorable little puppy girl arrived at her foster home and seemed very calm and balanced despite the long journey. On day 2 in Germany, Polly had a brief "episode." The cause is still unknown. Since then, Polly has undergone many examinations. Polly is now in a foster home in Switzerland, waiting for her own home. After an MRI, it was determined that the poor mouse probably received a hard blow to the head. A brain swelling was detected. Due to this, Polly can hardly see out of one eye. However, this does not affect her. Through medication, the swelling is now subsiding, and the little puppy has not had an episode since. Nevertheless, Polly will always be a handicapped dog. She will never be able to see out of that eye again and will likely have to take medication for the rest of her life. Despite this, Polly is a dog to love. She is cuddly, curious, and sometimes a bit feisty. She gets along well with dogs and cats and we wish for a single dog companion for her. Polly is also very smart. She has already learned many commands. Sit, stay, stay on the dog bed, take treats gently from the hand. She has learned all of this despite her veterinary visits in such a short time. Due to her fur color and build, we suspect that in Polly there is a Beagle mix. At present, the female dog, about 10 months old and around 40 cm tall, is not expected to grow much more. We wish empathetic and loving adopters for Polly, who are willing to look past her handicap and give her the love and attention she so deserves. You should be able to offer Polly not just many cuddles, a cozy spot, and plenty of contact with fellow animals, but also consistent training, because while Beagles are very family-friendly and patient housemates who are well-suited for first-time dog owners due to their balanced nature, they can also develop a prey drive and often have a strong will. Ihre Geschichte: Notfellchen Polly sucht jetzt ihr Für-Immer-Zuhause. Das liebenswerte Hundemädchen kam in ihrer Pflegestelle an und schien trotz der langen Reise sehr ruhig und ausgeglichen zu sein. Plötzlich an Tag 2 in Deutschland bekam Polly einen kurzen „Anfall“. Ursache erstmal unbekannt. Seitdem hat Polly viele Untersuchungen hinter sich bringen müssen. Polly ist nun in eine Pflegestelle in die Schweiz umgezogen und wartet auf ihr eigenes Zuhause. Nach einem MRT wurde festgestellt, das die arme Maus wohl mal einen heftigen Schlag auf den Kopf bekommen haben muss. Es wurde eine Hirnschwellung festgestellt. Dadurch verursacht, sieht Polly auf einem Auge fast nichts. Was sie aber nicht beeinträchtigt. Durch die Medikamenteneinnahme bildet sich die Schwellung nun zurück und das kleine Hundemädchen hatte auch bisher keinen Anfall mehr. Trotzdem wird Polly immer ein Handicap-Hund bleiben. Sie wird auf dem einen Auge nie mehr wirklich sehen können und sie muss wahrscheinlich ihr ganzes Leben Tabletten einnehmen. Trotz allem ist Polly ein Hund zum Lieb haben, Sie ist verschmust, neugierig und manchmal auch ein bisschen frech. Sie ist mit Hunden und Katzen gut verträglich und wir wünschen uns einen Ersthund an ihrer Seite. Polly ist auch sehr schlau. Sie hat schon sehr viele Kommandos gelernt. Sitz, Platz, im Körbchen bleiben, Leckerchen vorsichtig aus der Hand nehmen. All das hat sie trotz ihrer Tierklinikbesuche in so kurzer Zeit gelernt. Aufgrund ihrer Fellfarbe und Statur vermuten wir, dass in Polly ein Beaglemix steckt. Zur Zeit ist die ca. 10 Monate alte Hündin etwa 40 cm groß. Wir gehen davon aus, dass sie nicht mehr viel wachsen wird. Wir wünschen uns für Polly empathische und liebevolle Adoptanten, die bereit sind, über Pollys Handicap hinwegzusehen und ihr die Liebe und Aufmerksamkeit geben können, die sie so sehr verdient hat. Sie sollten der jungen Hündin neben vielen Streicheleinheiten, einem kuscheligen Plätzchen und ausreichend Kontakt zu Artgenossen aber auch eine konsequente Erziehung bieten können, denn Beagles sind zwar sehr familienfreundliche und geduldige Hausgenossen, die sich aufgrund ihrer ausgeglichenen Art auch für Hundeanfänger eignen, können aber durchaus einigen Jagdtrieb entwickeln und verfügen oft über einen ausgeprägten Willen.
