Pooh

Mixed Breed Cat Β· Female Β· Young Β· 1 year

Pooh is our precious girl who was dumped at the end of our centres drive way with her kittens and has been in a foster home since. She is such a calm and docile cat. She loves a fuss and has a lovely loud purr. Pooh likes her own space to sleep, preferably on the sofa! She is looking for a quite home where she can received lots of attention and the love she deserves. She could live with children 6+ who are able to leave her alone if needed. She will also need outdoor access when she has fully settled into her new home. Could you offer our sweet girl her new forever home?

About Pooh

What life with Pooh looks like

Pooh is a young adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at RSPCA Coventry and District Branch in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction β€” every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pooh, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pooh?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Coventry and District Branch handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pooh on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pooh if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” RSPCA Coventry and District Branch will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Pooh already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pooh isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Coventry and District Branch early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pooh and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
