Pooja is a black/white male cat born in May 2025. He came to the Animal Shelter with Niyati and Sitara (one of them is his mother) and a group of siblings and bonus siblings: Zira, Tuli, Raaz, Punit, Shanti, Gopi and Kiran after they all lived homeless in Blekinge. The mothers still live in the emergency shelter. Pooja and Punit were adopted in October 2025 but returned in August 2026 when the owner felt he could not give them the attention and time they needed. Former owner says: Both are quite shy cats, it took a little while before they chose to trust me completely, but when they did, they were very loving and attached to me. Once they feel safe with someone, they follow your every step and want attention and love every time they see you. They have a little trouble with new people, it takes a while before they feel they can trust people completely. The cats are very close to each other and have always been, they like to play and cuddle with each other. Here at the Animal Shelter, Pooja is the most brave. He is initially afraid, but if you pat him gently, he softens up and cuddles back.

Mammorna bor fortsatt i akuthemmet. Pooja och Punit blev adopterade i oktober 2025 men kom åter i augusti 2026 då huse kände att han inte kunde ge dom den uppmärksamhet och tid dom behövde. Fd husse berättar: De båda är ganska skygga katter, det tog ett litet tag innan dom valde att lita på mig helt men när dom gjorde det var de väldigt kärleksfulla och fästa vid mig. När de väl känner sig trygga vid en följer de efter ens varje steg och vill ha uppmärksamhet och kärlek varje gång de ser en. De har lite svårt för nya människor, det tar som sagt ett tag innan dom känner att dom kan lita på folk helt. Katterna är väldigt nära varandra och har alltid varit, dom gillar att leka och kela med varandra. Här på Katthemmet är Pooja den mest modiga. Han är till en början rädd men klappar man försiktigt på honom så mjuknar han upp och gosar tillbaka.
