Popcorn

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Now this dog! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Some dogs stand out due to their size. Not so Popcorn. He stands out because you can't help but smile when you look at him. With his big ears, light coat and that open gaze, he just looks incredibly cute. The little male was found alone. We don't know where he came from, what he experienced or why no one looked for him. But we do know: Popcorn has kept his kindness. He approaches people openly and full of affection. He enjoys attention, likes to play and cherishes every shared minute. He doesn't have anything demanding about him at all. He seems just happy not to be alone anymore. Popcorn also gets along very well with other dogs. Whether he knows cats, we can't say for now. With his about 30 cm, Popcorn is one of the smaller dogs, but his desire for closeness is huge. He seeks people who accompany him on walks, offer him a place on the blanket and where he just belongs. Popcorn still belongs to the young dogs with his about one year. Puberty may not be quite over or is just slowly coming to an end. This means that some things work well already, but others can be questioned again. With patience, loving consistency and a positively working dog school, Popcorn will get the necessary orientation to develop into a reliable companion. Since we don't know his past, he may still have to learn a lot. Life in the house, fixed routines or some everyday situations could be new for him. With patience and loving accompaniment, he will surely settle in well. Popcorn is neutered, chipped, vaccinated, dewormed and flea-free and travels with an EU pet passport. He is placed after a positive preliminary check and against a deposit fee. He would also be very happy about a suitable foster home. Many thanks to the -community, which gave Popcorn his name. Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 28.06.2026

About Popcorn

What life with Popcorn looks like

Popcorn is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Popcorn, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Popcorn?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Popcorn on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Popcorn if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Popcorn already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Popcorn isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Popcorn and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
