Poppy is an absolute pleasure to spend time with and is a real little character! She loves people and is a friendly, affectionate girl who adores being made a fuss of. She’s a happy-go-lucky, playful pup who will happily show off her best ‘zoomies’ if you play-bow at her! Poppy loves squeaky toys, rope toys and, of course, tasty treats! She also enjoys going out for walkies and loves to sniff, making sure she’s fully up to date with all the latest neighbourhood news. She can be a little strong on her lead at times. Poppy is worried by other dogs and can find them quite overwhelming, so she will need ongoing training and support to help her feel more comfortable around her canine friends. She is currently learning to wear a muzzle for peace of mind when she is working on her social skills. Poppy has a huge love for people and is always happy to make new human friends. She knows her ‘sit’ and ‘paw’ and is very food motivated, which makes her a great student when there are treats involved! With the right support, patience and confidence-building, Poppy has so much fun and happiness to give. Poppy is a pretty six-year-old Dogue De Bordeaux looking for a loving home. She could share her home with secondary school aged children. She is looking to be the only dog in the home and has no history living with cats, small furries, or livestock. Poppy is instantly friendly with new people and could cope with a busy home environment. She has been okay being left alone for a few hours. Poppy is housetrained. She travels well in the car.
