Poppy is a sweet, timid girl. She can be worried by new experiences and new people. Once she knows you, she enjoys a gentle fuss. Poppy would like a family that are happy to let her explore her new home and come out of her shell in her own time. Poppy is 16 year old Terrier X who has lived quite a sheltered life so far. She is looking for a patient and understanding home that understand her nervous nature and can allow her to settle into her new home at her own pace. Poppy has come from a home with other dogs but can be avoidant so would like to be the only pet in her new home to help her settle in. Any dog interactions should be carefully managed as she has not been used to meeting unknown dogs. Poppy is a sweet girl but can be worried by new people so any children in the home should be of Older Secondary School age who can appreciate her nervous nature. Poppy will need her own secure garden to provide her a safe space while she is building confidence with the outside world as it will be a while before she is ready to go on walks. Once settled leaving hours could be built up.
