Popy

Male · Adult · 4 years

Hello everyone... I think I've been forgotten at the orphanage because it's been a while since I've been trying to meet my magnificent family through La Team Spa Sud Alpine located in the Hautes-Alpes in Veynes in the PACA region. My name is Popy and I was born in December 2016. I was wandering on Avenue... and the pound in Gap picked me up. Nobody claimed me, so I'm looking for a new family that will keep me forever. I'm a mixed Anglo-French breed. At first, I'm a bit timid but I quickly gain confidence, especially during my walks that I love! I really need to go for walks, to smell the fresh grass, the clean air... And that's probably why I escaped if nobody offers me a walk, I need it so much! On the other hand, I'm starting to appreciate my fellow canine companions because now I'm in a park with them and them, and honestly, it's pretty good... If you have a doudou already, I just need to meet them to see if we match, hi. Have you seen my face? It's melting hearts, right? I'm of medium size, neither too big nor too small, and I hope a family will fall in love with me. But be careful, I don't chase at all, so no, I hate it, I'm made to be in a family, not locked in an enclosure. I love humans too much, I need them, their presence! Here are the key points for my future adoption: -> Okay with other animals of the same species, but I need to sniff them before if you already have some, hi. -> I love humans a lot. -> I don't chase at all!!! -> I love walks. I'm crossing my paws and cushions to find this sweet and warm sports home that will fill me with kindness and love. I pray to be adorable... I'm a little anxious about waiting for a long time. Think also about the education sessions at Aspres-sur-Buëch on Sunday mornings... Three free sessions are offered by the canine club, you just need to ask at the office, essential for some of us who have been in the shelter. I'm taken care of by La Team Spa Sud Alpine (Identified - vaccinated - dewormed and neutered), you can contact the shelter at or to discuss my adoption if you've fallen in love with my loveable face. Thank you so much for everything and big licks.

About Popy

What life with Popy looks like

Popy is a small adult dog waiting at 30 Millions d'Amis in Paris.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Popy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Popy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. 30 Millions d'Amis handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Popy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Popy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — 30 Millions d'Amis will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Popy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Popy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with 30 Millions d'Amis early rather than rehoming privately; they know Popy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
