🐾 Porsche🐾 Knuffelkat: Yes Breed: domestic shorthair Gender: male Children: yes Access to outdoors: No (Aids cat) Other cats: No Other animals: Not known Affectionate: Yes Meet Porsche! Porsche was brought to us from another non-profit organization that focuses on sterilizing stray cats. He tested positive for aids, so he can no longer be returned to his original location. Porsche is a very affectionate and sweet cat! Since he is aids positive, he cannot go outside anymore and is therefore only placed as an indoor cat. He does not get along well with other cats, so we are looking for a home where he can be the only cat. He is okay with children. Are you still looking for a sweet indoor cat? Then Porsche might be the perfect housemate! Feline AIDS: Feline AIDS cats can live for a long time with the disease without suffering serious symptoms. Unfortunately, there is no cure, but that does not mean these lovely creatures do not deserve a nice home. Note: An Aids + cat can bring additional costs as it gets older. This is mainly for supporting the symptoms that may develop later. Type of animal: Cat Gender: Male Age:

🐾 Porsche🐾 Knuffelkat: Ja Ras: huiskat Geslacht: kater Kinderen: ja Toegang tot buiten: Neen (Aidskatje) Andere katten: Nee Andere dieren: Niet geweten Zindelijk: JA Meet Porsche! Soort dier: Kat Geslacht: Mannelijk Leeftijd: 01/01/2020

About Porsche

What life with Porsche looks like

Porsche is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Pootjesparadijs Dierenopvangcentrum Zemst in Belgium.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇧🇪Adopting from Belgium

Belgian shelters operate under regional law (Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels each have their own rules). All adoptions include the Eurochip, vaccinations, and a stewardship contract. Several Flemish shelters partner with Dutch and German rescue networks.

Frequently asked

Adopting Porsche, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Porsche?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pootjesparadijs Dierenopvangcentrum Zemst handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Porsche on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Porsche if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pootjesparadijs Dierenopvangcentrum Zemst will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Porsche already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Porsche isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pootjesparadijs Dierenopvangcentrum Zemst early rather than rehoming privately; they know Porsche and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
