Pöttyöske

Husky · Female · Adult · 5 years

Pöttyöske – a gentle, curious one who opens up slowly but surely, “Hello, I’m Pöttyöske. I’m a sensitive, delicate husky girl just getting to know the world. At first, I’m reserved, as so much is new to me, and I’m not always sure what to expect. But if someone is patient and takes the time to approach me gently, I begin to open up slowly. The world is still full of mysteries for me, and I need time to handle everything confidently. I’m not a bad-tempered dog; I simply have little experience and approach every new experience with caution. When I feel safe, I become braver day by day. I’m looking for a home as a lone dog. Not because I don’t want to come from another dog, but because it’s much easier for me to connect with humans this way. If I receive all the attention, if I can learn first, and if I’m given the responsibility, I’ll develop faster and no one will doubt my abilities. I’m looking for a guardian who is very patient and understands that every small step counts for me. I won’t be crawling into your lap on the first day, but if someone gives me my own pace, I become a quiet, deeply bonding, and courageous companion. If you’re looking for a dog with whom you can slowly and gently discover the world together, then maybe I’m the one you’ve been waiting for.” Pöttyöske can be found in Szeged.

Én inkább egyedüli kutyaként keresem a gazdámat.

About Pöttyöske

What life with Pöttyöske looks like

Pöttyöske is a adult husky dog waiting at description in Hungary.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pöttyöske, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pöttyöske?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. description handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pöttyöske on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pöttyöske if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — description will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pöttyöske already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pöttyöske isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with description early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pöttyöske and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
