Adopt PRAGA

Female · Puppy

Termin końca quarantine: 2026-06-12 Miła, a young female dog with short, black-and-tipped brown fur. She arrived at the animal shelter as a result of an intervention in the Kraków area. Although her luck hasn't been kind, Miła hasn't lost her spirit and still waits for her safe, loving home. This female dog gets along well with other dogs and is leash-friendly. She had a home of her own before, but for various reasons, she found herself back at the animal shelter. Now, she deserves a place where she will be treated as a full-fledged family member—forever. Miła is a charming female dog who will surely repay the love and devotion shown to her with her own loyalty and attachment. She is looking for responsible caregivers who will show her that a real home is a permanent one.

About PRAGA

What life with PRAGA looks like

PRAGA is a small puppy/kitten dog waiting at Schronisko Kraków in Kraków.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting PRAGA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about PRAGA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Kraków handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw PRAGA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt PRAGA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Kraków will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is PRAGA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if PRAGA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Kraków early rather than rehoming privately; they know PRAGA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
