Adopt Presley

Female · Puppy · 5 months

Presley is doing really well and getting more confident every day. Once she knows you she is very playful and interactive and enjoys a bit of fuss. To make sure she gets the best chance to settle and progress with her training, she needs a calm and consistent routine to follow. This means she will need to be the only pet in a home with no young children. Older kids who understand when to let her relax should be fine. Presley is a super cute 4 month old Miniature Pinscher Crossbreed who has had a very difficult and unsettled start to her life. Considering her past, she has done incredibly well to be as playful and interactive as she is, but she will still need her new family to spend a lot of time working on basic training, including house training, and slowly building her confidence with the wider world. Add Presley to your favourites if you're looking for fun young girl who's already smashing her training.

About Presley

What life with Presley looks like

Presley is a puppy/kitten dog waiting at Dogs Trust Leeds in Leeds.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Presley, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Presley?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Leeds handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Presley on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Presley if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Trust Leeds will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Presley already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Presley isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Leeds early rather than rehoming privately; they know Presley and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
