Pufy

Mixed Breed · Male

Mascul Date of Birth: 2007 Size: Medium neutered Pufy is a very handsome dog, loving and strong but who needs a master with a bit of experience and patience. Pufi is first and foremost a male Alpha. He was the leader of the pack on the street and no one could take his tail without him immediately feeling like you wanted to do something to him and he would run away. We once tried to catch him by the scruff to take him to the vet but couldn’t hold him for more than 5 seconds, he was like a wounded feral. However, Pufi had another side, a playful one. Since I’ve known him, he was always eager to be fed. He would come and rub his head against my hand or even nibble my leg slowly with his mouth to get my attention to give him food. Now that he’s in the shelter and has been somewhat “dominated” by us, he’s even more so. He wants to be loved always and doesn’t know how to attract more attention to get fed, to be picked up, and cuddled. In continuation, the scruff grab is a taboo subject (who knows who’s gone through the street hungry) but you can pick him up by going under his abdomen and lifting him slowly, click here for more photos Video Contact:

About Pufy

What life with Pufy looks like

Pufy is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Asociatia ROBI / 4animals.ro in Romania.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇷🇴Adopting from Romania

Romanian rescues handle the highest volume of cross-border adoptions in the EU. Animals are quarantined and fully vetted before transport. Reputable rescues maintain detailed health records and post-adoption follow-up.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pufy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pufy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Asociatia ROBI / 4animals.ro handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pufy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pufy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Asociatia ROBI / 4animals.ro will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pufy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pufy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Asociatia ROBI / 4animals.ro early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pufy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (RO). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
