Puck is a sweet 9.5-year-old Basset Hound who has been through a lot. Her owner passed away and she ended up at a shelter where she couldn't adjust. She had an altercation with another dog and was taken to the vet for euthanasia, but luckily the vet intervened and contacted us. You may recognize Puk from our previous post about her medical needs: she came in with tumors, bladder stones, and a heart murmur. The surgeries are now behind her and she's also been spayed. She takes medication for her heart, special food to prevent bladder stones, and daily pain relief. Her anal glands need regular emptying. Puk is still a dog that needs close monitoring. It took some time for her to recover from everything she's gone through. Despite this, our brave Puk remains cheerful and upbeat every day. She loves people and craves attention. Her favorite activity is roaming outside. We understand that Puk carries a heavy medical baggage, but we see the spark in her eyes and want to give her one last home. Interested in Puk? Dit lieve Basset meisje heet Puk en zij is 9,5 jaar oud. Haar baasje overleed en Puk kwam terecht bij een opvang waar ze niet kon wennen. Kort daarna had ze een aanvaring met een andere hond en werd ze naar de dierenarts gebracht voor euthanasie. Gelukkig heeft de dierenarts dit tegengehouden en contact met ons opgenomen. Misschien komt Puk je dan ook bekend voor: een tijd geleden hebben we een oproep geplaatst vanwege een aantal medische ingrepen die moesten gebeuren. Ze kwam namelijk binnen met tumoren, blaasstenen en een hartruis. De operaties zitten er inmiddels op en Puk is ook gesteriliseerd. Ze krijgt medicatie voor haar hart, speciale voeding tegen blaasstenen en dagelijks pijnstilling. Haar anaalklieren moeten regelmatig geleegd worden. Puk blijft een hond die goed in de gaten gehouden moet worden. Het heeft dan ook even geduurd voordat Puk hersteld was. Alles bij elkaar opgeteld is het ook niet niks wat ze heeft meegemaakt. Onze dappere Puk laat zich alleen niet zo makkelijk uit het veld slaan en is echt iedere dag vrolijk en opgewekt. Ze houdt van mensen en is gek op aandacht. Buiten rondscharrelen is haar favoriete bezigheid. We begrijpen dat Puk een flinke medische rugzak met zich meedraagt, maar we zien de levenslust in haar ogen en gunnen haar daarom haar allerlaatste thuis. Interesse in Puk?
