Puzzle

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 5 months

Hi, I am Puzzle. I am a cheerful little boy with a rather special rescue story. I was found on the streets, but I was not completely alone. I had a little kitten by my side. Perhaps we were keeping each other company in a world that can be difficult for small animals. Thankfully, I was rescued, and now I have the chance to find a loving family of my own. I am a wonderfully friendly, cheerful and easy-going puppy who enjoys life and everything happening around me. I am very good with dogs, cats and children, so I could fit beautifully into many different kinds of families. I also have a rather funny appearance. My body is long, my legs are a little shorter, and when I am fully grown, I am expected to weigh around 15 kg. I am the kind of puppy who brings happiness simply by being around. With my friendly personality and easy-going nature, I could become a lovely family companion. Of course, I am still young, so I will need love, patience and guidance as I grow. I am Puzzle, a little boy with short legs, a long body and a big heart. I started my journey on the streets beside a kitten. Now I hope my next companion will be a family who will love me forever.

About Puzzle

What life with Puzzle looks like

Puzzle is a medium-sized puppy mixed breed dog waiting at The Dog Rose) in Dogrose.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Puzzle, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Puzzle?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. The Dog Rose) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Puzzle on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Puzzle if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — The Dog Rose) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Puzzle already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Puzzle isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with The Dog Rose) early rather than rehoming privately; they know Puzzle and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
