Pyza

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 6 months

Pyza is a small, feisty little dog. She clearly sets boundaries. She doesn't trust strangers, she prefers they keep their distance. Once she trusts you and likes you, she'll be relentless in following you around and begging for attention and pets. Pyza came to us with her mother as a puppy. She was adopted and returned to us after 6 years. She's very similar in character to her mother Meride (the name wasn't a coincidence...). Pyza witnessed the breakdown of her family, arguments, and being abandoned to her in-laws who never loved her. They eventually gave her up to us. Initially, she was an unapproachable, overweight lady who hid her fear behind aggression. It took a week or two, and she loved us all. She's not stupid, she knows what she wants, she's brave and observes humans very well. She reads people and you either become her friend or her enemy :) I hope I've successfully encouraged you to adopt her. As for her build, according to an old saying: she looks like a Silesian woman, wide in the hips, narrow in the butt ;) (don't be offended, ladies from Silesia, I'm from Mazowsze and I can say the same about myself) I look forward to your calls! 609856625

About Pyza

What life with Pyza looks like

Pyza is a small puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adopters usually cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pyza, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pyza?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pyza on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pyza if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Pyza already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pyza isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pyza and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
