Quincy (vermittelt)

Mixed Breed · Female

Name Quincy Born Early 2023 Gender female dog Breed mixed breed Size rather small, about 30 cm, with a short tail foster home Quincyd, now Sally, has now settled well into her new home. We wish her and her new family a wonderful time. The ages mentioned here are often estimated values, as we don't always know the exact age. Other details like size are subjective. First update from the foster home: And here is the little Quincy. The mini-mouse came from Shelter Bucov in Romania. She was there in a small pen with many larger fellow animals, both physically and psychologically overburdened. Thankfully, Quincy was taken in and made visible by the organization. She made it to a foster home in Germany thin, scared, with skin problems, and some bite wounds. According to PDR, Quincy was born around January 23, is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, weighs about 5.2 kg, and has an SM of around 35 cm, making her a very delicate female dog. After a few days of rest, she has recovered well. Physically, she still needs to be built up. But: The cute little mouse is open, very friendly, playful, and cuddly. Her shortened tail does not interrupt her joy. She is also house-trained from the first day, runs wonderfully on both long and short leashes, travels problem-free in the car box, and is a chill, contact-seeking female dog. The little guy is one of the worry children in a large Romanian animal shelter. Information from the animal protectors in Romania: The little QUINCY observed us in the kennel with a bit of safety distance. When we approached her, she was unsettled and avoided us. QUINCY needs positive contact with people. A second dog would certainly help with her integration. ________________________ should travel urgently, already extremely anxious and overburdened in the full kennel, compatible with a sovereign only dog We are very happy that he will soon be able to travel to an experienced foster home and hope that the little guy will quickly develop into a happy puppy. We are looking for people who are willing to take on the adventure of an international dog and give him a second chance at a responsible home. This is a young, adolescent dog.

Name Quincy Geboren Anfang 2023 Geschlecht Hündin Rasse Mischling Größe eher klein, ca. 30 cm, kurzes Schwänzchen Pflegestelle Quincyd, jetzt Sally, ist mittlerweile gut in ihrem neuen Zuhause angekommen. About Quincy (vermittelt)

What life with Quincy (vermittelt) looks like

Quincy (vermittelt) is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Second Chance Dogs e.V. in Zornheim.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Quincy (vermittelt), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Quincy (vermittelt)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Second Chance Dogs e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Quincy (vermittelt) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Quincy (vermittelt) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Second Chance Dogs e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Quincy (vermittelt) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Quincy (vermittelt) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Second Chance Dogs e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Quincy (vermittelt) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
