Her story: Racoon was found together with her two sisters, Silja and Badger, in a Roma settlement. Without a mother, just the little trio on their own. Unfortunately, it means no survival chance for the little puppies in the winter. Additionally, this settlement is known to be an unsafe place for dogs. Therefore, it was clear to us that the trio cannot stay there. Racoon is currently about 3.5 months old and approximately 35 cm tall and weighs 6 kg. She is expected to reach a medium size. Why Racoon, a cute little female puppy, was named after raccoons, we certainly don't need to explain further, or? With her beautiful mask, Racoon is unmistakable. At first, she is a bit shy, but once she warms up, she is typically playful, curious, and friendly. In her foster home, she is developing wonderfully and has already gained confidence. She loves the other dogs in her foster home and explores her surroundings happily. A compatibility with other cats has not yet been tested. It is likely that the little puppy girl has some herd protection traits. These breeds are sensitive, loyal, and closely connected to their people. However, they also make independent decisions and are not command followers. These dogs need people who are clear in their training and on whom they can rely. We therefore wish for Racoon a family with experience or willing to engage with the character traits of these wonderful dogs. People who bring a lot of empathy and clarity in training. Soon, puberty will knock on Racoon's door. This means an exciting and sometimes challenging time for all involved. The hormones are on a rollercoaster, and it is important for Racoon to be guided through this time with love, consistency, and calmness. Ihre Geschichte: Racoon wurde zusammen mit ihren beiden Schwestern Silja und Badger in einer Roma Siedlung gefunden. Ohne Mama, nur das kleine Trio auf sich allein gestellt. Gerade jetzt im Winter bedeutet das keine Überlebenschance für die kleinen Welpen. Unglücklicherweise ist diese Siedlung zusätzlich bekannt dafür kein sicherer Ort für Hunde zu sein. Daher stand für uns fest, dass das Trio dort nicht bleiben kann. Racoon ist aktuell ca. 3,5 Monate alt und derzeit ca. 35 cm groß und 6 kg. Sie wird damit voraussichtlich eine mittlere Größe erreichen. Warum die hübsche kleine Hundedame nach einem Waschbären benannte wurde, müssen wir sicherlich nicht weiter erklären, oder? Mit ihrer wunderschönen Maske ist Racoon unverwechselbar. Im ersten Moment ist sie noch etwas schüchtern, wenn sie aber erstmal aufgetaut ist, dann ist sie ganz typisch Welpe verspielt, neugierig und freundlich. In ihrer Pflegestelle entwickelt sie sich wunderbar und hat schon deutlich an Selbstvertrauen gewonnen. Sie liebt die anderen Hunde der Pflegestelle und erkundet gerne ihrer Umgebung. Eine Verträglichkeit mit Katzen konnte bisher noch nicht getestet werden. Vermutlich trägt das kleine Hundemädchen Herdenschutzanteile in sich. Diese Rassen sind sensibel, loyal und eng mit ihren Menschen verbunden. Sie treffen aber auch selbstständig Entscheidungen und sind keine Befehlsempfänger. Diese Hunde brauchen Menschen, die klar in ihrer Erziehung sind und an denen sie sich orientieren können. Wir wünschen uns für Racoon daher eine Familie, die Erfahrung mitbringt oder bereit ist sich mit den Charaktereigenschaften dieser wunderschönen Hunde zu beschäftigen. Menschen, die viel Einfühlungsvermögen und Klarheit in der Erziehung mitbringen. Bald wird auch bei Racoon die Pubertät anklopfen. Das bedeutet für alle Beteiligten eine aufregende und manchmal auf aufreibende Zeit. Die Hormone fahren Achterbahn und gerade dann ist es für Racoon wichtig, dass sie mit Liebe, Konsequenz und Gelassenheit durch diese Zeit begleitet wird.
