Brody arrived at the shelter several months ago, already familiar with abuse and abandonment. He’s another dog dismissed from hunting—presumably because “he wasn’t suited for that job.” His legs were covered in shot pellets. Since we’ve operated on him, he’s much better, although we haven’t been able to remove all of them yet. He’s a delicate little dog, friendly and cheerful around other dogs; as befits a podenco, he’s a bit shy around caregivers, though if you’re patient and offer him something delicious, you’ll soon have him following you wherever you go. At the shelter, we can’t give him all the time he deserves.

Brody llegó con meses al refugio y ya conocía el maltrato y el abandono. Es otro perro desestimado para la caza, suponemos porque "no servía para ese trabajo"; tenía las patas llenas de perdigones. Desde que le hemos operado está mucho mejor, aunque no se los hemos podido sacar todos. Es un perrito delicado, simpático y alegre con otros perros; como buen podenco, es un poco tímido con los cuidadores, aunque si eres paciente y le ofreces algo suculento, conseguirás que te siga a donde quieras. Nosotros en el refugio no podemos dedicarle todo el tiempo que merece.
