Ragazzo came to us as a found animal. Since his background is unknown, his past can only be speculated about. At our shelter, he tested positive for FIV. If he is rehomed as a partner animal, he should ideally live with another FIV-positive animal. Ragazzo would probably also do well on his own. Essential traits: Ragazzo is not a lap cat. He likely spent most of his life outdoors and had little contact with people, making his mistrustfulness large. At first, he wouldn't show himself at all. Now, he shows himself mainly when food is available. He sniffs at fingers, but can also hiss and retreat. Whether he can completely leave his behavior behind in a new home, we cannot guarantee. Therefore, we are looking for a home where he can simply be himself and no great expectations are placed on him. Needs: Ragazzo needs free roam. We do not want to deny him this wish, so he should live in an area where there are not already many stray cats roaming around, or in a secured free roam area. Experienced cat owners who are familiar with dealing with difficult cats are preferred. No children in the household. This cat needs outdoor access.

Ragazzo kam als Fundtier zu uns. Da die Vorgeschichte unbekannt ist, kann über seine Vergangenheit nur spekuliert werden. Bei uns wurde er FIV-positiv getestet. Er sollte, falls er zu einem Partnertier vermittelt wird, idealerweise nur mit einem ebenfalls positiv getesteten Tier zusammenleben. Ragazzo würde vermutlich auch alleine gut zurechtkommen. Wesentliche Eigenschaften: Ragazzo ist kein Kuschelkater. Er hat vermutlich die meiste Zeit seines Lebens draußen verbracht und wenig Kontakt zu Menschen gehabt. Sein Misstrauen ist daher groß. Anfangs ließ er sich überhaupt nicht blicken. Inzwischen zeigt er sich vor allem wenn Futter vorhanden ist. Er schnuppert an Fingerchen, kann aber gleichzeitig fauchen und zieht sich wieder zurück. Ob er sein Verhalten in einem neuen Zuhause vollständig ablegen kann, können wir nicht garantieren. Wir suchen deshalb ein Zuhause, in dem er einfach er selbst sein kann und keine großen Erwartungen an ihn gestellt werden. Bedürfnisse: Ragazzo braucht Freigang. Wir möchten ihm diesen Wunsch nicht verwehren, daher sollte er in einer Gegend wohnen, in der nicht schon viele Streunerkatzen umherziehen, oder in einem gesicherten Freigang.
