Alaskan Malamute - Male Born December 25, 2020 Arrived at the shelter on September 16, 2026 Reason: Abandoned Ragnar is a beautiful Malamute who grew up in a family after being born in a kennel. With humans, Ragnar is very kind, affectionate, and close. He is a dog who enjoys interactions and can sometimes be a bit rough when he is very happy, mainly due to his size and enthusiasm. He will simply need to learn to channel this energy. Ragnar knows several basic commands, including sit, lie down, and paw. On walks, he may pull slightly at the beginning of the walk, but he calms down quickly and the walk becomes more enjoyable afterwards. Compatibility: Regarding his compatibility with other dogs, Ragnar is in the observation phase. A cohabitation seems possible with a female, but more delicate with males (to be confirmed on a case-by-case basis). Cats: OK subject to good introductions Children: OK. A perfectly fenced yard will be essential. Like many Malamutes, Ragnar may have a tendency to run away and explore his environment. A solid fence, high enough and secure, will therefore be essential. Even with a well-fenced yard, we will ask that he not be left alone in the garden without supervision. Ragnar à l'adoption ! Malamute d'Alaska – Mâle Né le 25 décembre 2020 Arrivé au refuge le 16 septembre 2026 Motif : abandon Ragnar est un magnifique Malamute qui a grandi en famille après être né en élevage. Avec l'humain, Ragnar se montre très gentil, affectueux et proche. C'est un chien qui apprécie les interactions et qui peut parfois se montrer un peu brut lorsqu'il est très content, notamment en raison de son gabarit et de son enthousiasme. Il faudra donc simplement lui apprendre à canaliser cette énergie. Ragnar connaît plusieurs ordres de base, notamment assis, couché et la patte. En promenade, il peut tirer légèrement en début de balade, mais il se calme rapidement et la marche devient ensuite plus agréable. Ententes : Concernant ses ententes avec les autres chiens, Ragnar est en phase d'observation. Une cohabitation semble envisageable avec une femelle, mais plus délicate avec les mâles (à confirmer au cas par cas). Chats : OK sous réserve de bonnes présentations Enfants : OK. Un terrain devra impérativement être parfaitement clôturé. Comme beaucoup de Malamutes, Ragnar peut avoir tendance à fuguer et à chercher à explorer son environnement. Une clôture solide, suffisamment haute et sécurisée sera donc indispensable. Même avec un terrain bien clôturé, nous demanderons qu'il ne soit pas laissé seul en liberté dans le jardin sans surveillance. Depuis son arrivée, nous découvrons encore Ragnar chaque jour, mais une chose ressort déjà clairement : c'est un chien profondé
