Ragnar

Male

Ragnar – energy, strength, and enthusiasm can all be summed up in three words to describe our mischievous one, a type of Irish terrier. We estimate his age to be around 4 years old, weighing 18 kg and standing 50 cm tall, making him a young dog who also excels in the company of humans. He is friendly, physically agile, spry, enjoys closeness, and loves play – especially with a ball. On walks, he is very well-behaved – he doesn’t pull, can be led, and cooperates with the caregiver. Until he sees another dog……..Ragnar must remain a dog alone, as he aggressively reacts to other dogs, including cats, so he is not suitable for a home with other animals. As befits a terrier, he struggles with staying in a kennel run – his energy is high, and he is chronically frustrated. We are looking for a responsible home that can provide Ragnar with the right amount of physical activity and mental stimulation. For the right person, he will be a devoted and engaged companion.

PL·Show original

Dl odpowiedniej osoby będzie oddanym i zaangażowanym towarzyszem.

About Ragnar

What life with Ragnar looks like

Ragnar is a adult dog waiting at Wesoly Kundelek in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ragnar, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ragnar?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Wesoly Kundelek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ragnar on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ragnar if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Wesoly Kundelek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ragnar already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ragnar isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Wesoly Kundelek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ragnar and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
