Ralphi

Mixed Breed · Male · Kitten · 1 month

Ralphi - from supposed wildling to cuddly cat Ralphi is about 3 years old and came to us as a found animal. His condition was shocking: he was unkempt, looked neglected and initially wanted nothing to do with people. It quickly became clear that this could be a wild and aloof cat. Ralphi suffered from severe pain. His bilateral eyelids were so pronounced that his eyes were constantly irritated and inflamed and he could hardly see anything. He also suffered from a painful ear infection, which also needed treatment. No wonder he withdrew and avoided contact with people. Thanks to the necessary operations, medical care and time he got here, the pain is now a thing of the past. And every day Ralphi showed us more of his true character. From the supposed wild cat became a loving, cuddly and human-oriented cat who now enjoys every caress and seeks the closeness of his humans. For Ralphi we wish him a loving home where he can finally experience the good things in life. After everything he has been through, he more than deserves to arrive, gain trust and just be loved. Who gives this brave cat the chance for his well-deserved new beginning? ❤️

DE·Show original

About Ralphi

What life with Ralphi looks like

Ralphi is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Tierheim Laage in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ralphi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ralphi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Laage handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ralphi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ralphi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Laage will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ralphi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ralphi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Laage early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ralphi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
