adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Ramon has found a home! His story: The cute puppy Ramon has already overcome challenges at the beginning of his life. Together with his mother and his siblings Ivy, Feli, Sylvi, Lui, and Fawkes, he was found alone on the street. Their bellies were already swollen, and the icy cold they were likely exposed to for a longer time made the little one very uncomfortable. Despite our Romanian colleague's great dedication, we were very concerned that not all the siblings would be able to win the fight for survival. But by a miracle, they all made it, and they now enjoy excellent health. Despite this sad beginning, the little male dog with his approximately two months already shows how much joy and hope are in him. With his beautiful black fur and his sweet white paws, he is a true beauty. Ramon has his whole life ahead and would so much like to learn what life can be like far away from the shelter with his heart's people. Up until now, he has not had the opportunity to learn what life in a home is like. Therefore, he is looking for a family that will help him learn the basics like house training and leash manners with patience, love, and positive training. Ramon will certainly have a lot of fun growing together with his people and mastering the Dog 1×1. After an adjustment period, a visit to dog training classes would also be a great way to continue learning and make new friends. Like all young dogs, Ramon will soon enter puberty, a time when he might have his own mind. But with loving consistency and understanding, he will get through this phase well and grow into a faithful companion who will enrich his family with his cheerfulness and character. For Ramon, we are looking for a warm-hearted home with people who will give him time to settle in and who want to give him a life full of security and love. Do you want to give Ramon a loving home and welcome him as a new family member? A special thank you goes to Odette B., who gave Ramon his beautiful name and thus the chance to find his family. As of: 16.01. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Stand: 16.01.2025

About Ramon

What life with Ramon looks like

Ramon is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ramon, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ramon?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ramon on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ramon if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ramon already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ramon isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ramon and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
