RASMUS & NAN

Mixed Breed · Male

RASMUS & NAN Bestekompisene RASMUS & NAN want to live together. 💗 "You and me Rasmus, you and me" - the friends Rasmus and Nan are looking for a home together. They have experienced a lot in their young lives and use each other as their safe harbor. They can play, sleep or explore alone very well, but they seek support from each other when something feels a bit strange. Because of their slightly skeptical nature, a new family should not have very small children, but older children who can read simple signals from the cats and are not too scared. 🤍 Rasmus and Nan are affectionate and playful, but will need time to get used to a new home. They need to feel safe in a smaller area first before they can expand their space. If strangers come suddenly, they may hiss, but if you take it calmly and at their pace, they will calm down quickly and will gladly greet. Rasmus is the leader and the toughest and bravest. He loves to play with fishing rod toys and the way to his heart is just play. When he becomes secure, he is very loving and devoted.

RASMUS & NAN Bestekompisene RASMUS & NAN vil bo sammen.

About RASMUS & NAN

What life with RASMUS & NAN looks like

RASMUS & NAN is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Lucas Dyrevern in Stavanger.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇳🇴Adopting from Norway

Norwegian rescues require thorough background checks. Animals leave with a Nordic pet passport and full vetting. Norway is outside the EU so import rules differ slightly — TRACES applies.

Frequently asked

Adopting RASMUS & NAN, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about RASMUS & NAN?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Lucas Dyrevern handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw RASMUS & NAN on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt RASMUS & NAN if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Lucas Dyrevern will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is RASMUS & NAN already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if RASMUS & NAN isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Lucas Dyrevern early rather than rehoming privately; they know RASMUS & NAN and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NO). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
