Adopt Raven

Female · Puppy · 5 months

A beautiful, sweet, and affectionate little female dog with a gentle heart and a curious spirit.Raven was found together with her siblings after we received a phone call that led us deep into the mountain area. Their mother, Romy, had kept her ten puppies hidden and safe in a fox den, carefully protecting them from the outside world. A small, hidden nest full of new life.We immediately set out to help. One by one, we carefully rescued all the puppies from their hiding place, holding them safely in our arms. After that, it was time to catch their mother, Romy. She was very frightened and extremely wary, but with patience and care she was safely secured as well. She is now doing very well.Raven is one of those ten little miracles. She is a sweet and affectionate girl who loves to be close to people. Curious by nature, she enjoys exploring everything around her, but she also has a playful and mischievous side. Digging little holes is one of her favorite activities, and she can happily entertain herself with toys for a long time. She also plays nicely with other dogs. At first, she can be a bit shy around large dogs, but once they approach her calmly and kindly, she quickly opens up and invites them to play.Raven has already been trained to walk nicely on a leash, which she does very well for her age. Of course, she is still very young and has plenty to learn as she grows.Above all, Raven is a loving young pup who is ready for a home where she can continue to develop, feel safe, and simply be herself.

About Raven

What life with Raven looks like

Raven is a medium-sized puppy/kitten dog waiting at PAWS-PATAS Animal Shelter in Spain.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Raven, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Raven?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. PAWS-PATAS Animal Shelter handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Raven on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Raven if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — PAWS-PATAS Animal Shelter will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Raven already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Raven isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with PAWS-PATAS Animal Shelter early rather than rehoming privately; they know Raven and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
