Rayka, at the shelter for 31 days I am Rayka, a beautiful German Shepherd mix who arrived at the shelter through the pound and has never been claimed, so we do not know my past. I am a gentle dog who is timid around strangers and men at first (possible past mistreatment...), but extremely kind and affectionate once trust is gained. I am calm on walks and have good basic training. Not dominant, I get along with other animals of the same species (in a yard with several) but it is unknown how I will get along with cats (a test is possible at the shelter). I can live with children as long as they know how to respect my tranquility and calmness (avoid loud noises and sudden movements). I am looking for my forever home, loving, gentle, calm, and caring, ready to love me for life and meet all my needs for daily walks, play, and cuddles. With my stress and fear of strangers, several visits/walks at the shelter will be necessary before taking me home to create a first bond.

Je m’appelle Rayka, très jolie croisée Berger arrivée au refuge par la fourrière et jamais réclamée, on ne connait donc pas mon passé. Je suis une gentille chienne très craintive de l’inconnu et des hommes au premier abord (maltraitance présagée…), mais très affectueuse une fois en confiance. C’est pourquoi il faut m’aborder avec calme et douceur, et éviter les gestes brusques. J’ai de bonnes bases d’éducation mais il faudra la parfaire dans la douceur étant donné mon jeune âge. Non dominante, je m’entends avec mes congénères en général ; pour les chats le test a révélé que j’en ai peur. Je peux vivre avec des enfants à conditions qu’ils sachent respecter ma tranquilité et le calme (éviter cris et gestes brusques). Je recherche mon dernier foyer aimant, doux, calme et bienveillant, prêt à m’aimer pour la vie et à répondre à tous mes besoins de sorties quotidiennes, de jeux, de câlins. Je préfère vivre au calme de la campagne et éviter le tumulte et le monde de la ville. Avec mon stress et ma peur de l’inconnu, plusieurs visites/balades au refuge seront nécesssaires avant de m’emmener à la maison afin de créer un 1er lien.
