Renault is a dog who has spent too much time in a role that wasn't meant for him. He was left to act as a "guardian," as if his only function was to watch and guard, when in reality what he has always needed is to share. Share walks, routines, calmness... and especially people. When you are with him, you understand it right away. He is very grateful for affection, one of those dogs who relax just from feeling a friendly hand and who looks at you with a trust that moves you. He has a loving but balanced character: he likes contact and company, but not in a dependent or clingy way. He knows how to be, how to wait, and how to enjoy quiet moments. He is a dog who could adapt well to city life, because he shows no signs of fear or seeks conflicts. With children he is sweet and gentle, and fits very well into normal family dynamics, those with daily walks and times of rest at home. He is not compatible with cats, and with other dogs he can be selective. Nevertheless, we are convinced that the shelter environment has a lot to do with it: the stress of the cage, the constant noise, and the lack of stable routines do not allow him to be himself or manage introductions well. In a quiet environment with good routines, he could live with another balanced dog. Renault does not need great things. He needs to leave the animal shelter, move past this phase, and start a real life with real bonds. He has a lot to give and is just waiting for someone to give him the opportunity to show it. El van deixar fent de “vigilant”, com si la seva funció fos només mirar i guardar, quan en realitat el que sempre ha necessitat és compartir. Compartir passejos, rutines, calma… i sobretot, persones. Quan estàs amb ell ho entens de seguida. És molt agraït amb les carícies, d’aquells gossos que es relaxen només de sentir una mà amiga i que et miren amb una confiança que emociona. Té un caràcter afectuós però equilibrat: li agrada el contacte i la companyia, però sense ser dependent ni empalagós. Sap estar, sap esperar i sap gaudir dels moments tranquils. És un gos que podria adaptar-se bé a la vida en ciutat, perquè no mostra senyals de por ni busca conflictes. Amb els nens es mostra dolç i petoner, i encaixa molt bé en dinàmiques familiars normals, d’aquelles amb passejos diaris i estones de descans a casa. No és compatible amb gats i amb altres gossos pot mostrar-se selectiu. Tot i això, estem convençuts que el context del refugi hi té molt a veure: l’estrès de la gàbia, el soroll constant i la falta de rutines estables no li permeten ser ell mateix ni gestionar bé les presentacions. En un entorn tranquil i amb bones pautes, podria arribar a conviure amb algun gos equilibrat. En Renault no necessita grans coses. Necessita sortir del refugi, deixar enrere aquesta etapa i començar una vida real, amb vincles reals. Té molt per donar i només està esperant algú que li doni l’oportunitat de demostrar-ho.
