Renny — a French bulldog. Almost her entire life was spent not as a beloved pet, but as a working dog in a breeding facility. For nearly 7 years, Renny lived in a cage. Poor nutrition, constant graying, and the lack of proper care led to her chronic atopic dermatitis. When Renny arrived at the shelter, she was in a very critical condition. She had severe diarrhea, a strong allergic flare-up, swollen paws and belly. There was a fungus in her ears that had already caused perforations. The first conclusion by the doctors was grim. They said that it would be necessary to remove the ear drums along with the ear canals. But we fought hard for her and tried to preserve her ears. We obtained medications from Germany, treated her, and halted the process. And we managed to prevent the disease from progressing further. But reversing everything is no longer possible. Now Renny needs hypoallergenic food, regular ear care, and a monthly Netra supplement. During flare-ups of atopic dermatitis, she takes Apoquel. She also has glaucoma beginning to develop in one eye. But despite all this, Renny is an incredible dog. She is very good, very gentle. She adores children, gets along well with cats, and plays nicely with other dogs. And honestly, taking care of her isn’t as scary as it might seem. It’s the basic needs that many French bulldogs live with. I really hope that somewhere there is a person who isn’t intimidated by the word “care” and can show Renny what a real home and true love mean. Because it’s heartbreaking to think that her early years were spent in a cage, and the rest of her life might never know what it means to be someone’s beloved dog.

Ренні — французький бульдог. І майже все своє життя вона прожила не як домашня улюблениця, а як собака для заробітку у розведенців. Близько 7 років Ренні провела у клітці. Погане харчування, постійна сирість, відсутність нормального догляду призвели до того, що зараз у неї хронічний атопічний дерматит. До нас Ренні потрапила у дуже важкому стані. Сильна діарея, сильне алергічне загострення, розпухлі лапи та живіт. У вушках був грибок, який уже вразив барабанні перетинки. Перший висновок лікарів був дуже важким. Нам сказали, що необхідно видаляти барабанні перетинки разом із вушними раковинами. Але ми дуже боролися за неї й намагалися зберегти вушка. Діставали препарати з Німеччини, лікували, зупиняли процес. І нам вдалося не дати хворобі піти далі. Але повернути все назад уже неможливо. Зараз Ренні потрібне гіпоалергенне харчування, регулярний догляд за вушками та щомісячний препарат Нетра. Під час загострень атопічного дерматиту вона приймає Апоквел. Також у неї починається глаукома на одному оці. Але попри все це Ренні неймовірна собака. Дуже добра, дуже ніжна. Вона обожнює дітей, добре ставиться до котів, дружить з іншими собаками. І чесно, догляд за нею не такий страшний, як може здатися. Це базові потреби, з якими живе дуже багато французьких бульдогів. Мені дуже хочеться вірити, що десь є людина, яка не злякається слова “догляд” і зможе показати Ренні, що таке справжній дім і справжня любов. Бо дуже боляче думати про те, що перші роки життя вона провела у клітці, а решту життя може так і не дізнатися, що означає бути чиєюсь улюбленою собакою.
