adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this puppy! The golden Rike lives currently with her siblings Pascha, Pempek, Yula, and Krista as well as with her mother Rowina at our shelter. The shelter can be loud and stimulating, and it is not a place for a small family. Rike does not want to stay here and is searching for her own family. Rike has beautiful light fur and a light mask that appears almost peachy in sunlight. Such a special shade has not been seen in the world! Her mother has a shoulder height of about 20 cm, so we assume that Rike will likely remain small. The puppyhood is a very important and formative time for the little souls. Whoever decides to take on a puppy should be aware of the responsibility and upcoming challenges beforehand. Rike still has to learn everything. House training, leash manners, etc. The little puppy girl is about to have an exciting time where she can learn the puppy ABCs. If one is aware of the responsibility and steps up to it, one will be richly rewarded and find a loyal companion in Rike. In the future, a visit to a positively working dog training class would certainly be a win for both Rike and her new family. Here, not only Rike, but also the new family can learn and the bond between dog and human can be strengthened. If her heart's people have not yet noticed her, a foster home would also be a valuable opportunity for Rike. Do you want this special snout to be part of your family? Then contact us! Rike is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated for travel arrangements. Age-wise, she is not yet spayed, but she does bring her own EU pet passport. Thank you, dear Petra, for this lovely name. Due to your namingsponsoring, Rike not only has a name but also an identity. As of: 30.05. Some symptoms here are age-related.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! About Rike

What life with Rike looks like

Rike is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rike, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rike?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rike on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rike if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Rike already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rike isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rike and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
