Rivka

Female · Adult · 4 years

Rivka — Female Beldi, young adult, available for adoption Rivka is a survivor. A courageous dog whose life changed the day she was found at the side of the road, injured, emaciated and at the end of her strength. She had been living through a true hell. Her condition suggested she had been struck by a vehicle and left without help. Her paw was seriously injured, and every movement was an ordeal. We took her in and cared for her immediately. For several weeks, Rivka received the care she needed, surrounded by patience and kindness. And Rivka fought. Today, she walks, runs and lives fully. She has regained her strength, her dignity and, above all, her joy in living. Rivka is a deeply endearing, sensitive and expressive dog. She loves walks, exploring her surroundings and sharing moments with people. She is gentle, affectionate and sincere in her attachment. She also has a strong personality. Rivka can be dominant with certain dogs, particularly females, and sometimes with males. She is not aggressive, but she knows how to set her limits and assert her place. That is why she will need an experienced family, able to offer her a clear, consistent and reassuring framework so that she can fully blossom. Rivka is sociable and gets along with dogs, cats and farm animals. With appropriate support, she will become a loyal and well-balanced companion. She is a beautiful, touching and deeply alive dog who now deserves a family able to recognize her worth and give her the stability she has never known.

About Rivka

What life with Rivka looks like

Rivka is a medium-sized adult dog waiting at Nos Amis Pour La Vie Europe in France.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rivka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rivka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Nos Amis Pour La Vie Europe handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rivka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rivka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Nos Amis Pour La Vie Europe will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Rivka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rivka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Nos Amis Pour La Vie Europe early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rivka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
