adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Robbe has found his own home! His story: May we introduce our sweet Robbe? Robbe is eagerly waiting in his foster home in Westoverledingen. The little puppy was found in Romania and lived there in a private foster home before traveling to his current foster home in Germany in July. Who would like to give him a loving home here? Robbe is currently 8.5 months old and will likely remain small as he grows. This makes him an ideal companion for all life situations. He enchants with his fluffy, white-gray-black patterned fur and his loyal, brown eyes. Robbe has already settled in well in his foster home on a horse farm after just two weeks and gets along great with all the people who live on the farm, work there, or come to visit. He impresses with his open and loving personality. His initial skepticism towards the many other animals on the farm was quickly overcome, and he now enjoys running around between rabbits, chickens, horses, and other dogs. He convinces everyone with his open, friendly, and pleasant nature. For a puppy, he is not at all hyperactive but absolutely balanced. Collar and leash training are already being practiced diligently, and early progress is showing. Due to his good compatibility with other dogs, he would also be happy with a single dog where he can emulate everything. His new family should be aware that Robbe has not yet lived in a loving family for long. He still needs to learn the whole puppy ABC and puberty is in full swing. Here, he needs people who approach with love and patience, possibly also attending positive dog training classes with him and forgiving him one or two mishaps. Leash walking, house training, and being alone are still largely foreign concepts to him, even though progress is being made. During puberty, he will certainly test boundaries and perhaps even forget some things he has learned. But once this phase is overcome, Robbe will definitely be a great lifelong companion. We hope so much that he can now experience the beautiful sides of life and learn that there are people who only want the best for him. Robbe is already microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea treated. He brings an EU pet passport with him and can be shipped after a positive foster home for the sweet man would be wonderful! Who will give him the loving forever home he so deserves? Many thanks to Marnie! You gave Robbe his name. Status: 01.08.

Vielen Dank an Marnie! Du hast Robbe seinen Namen geschenkt. Stand: 01.08.2024

About Robbe

What life with Robbe looks like

Robbe is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Robbe, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Robbe?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Robbe on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Robbe if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Robbe already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Robbe isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Robbe and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
