Robby

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal!Robby has already found its family! His story: The little Robby is only three months old and already a real ray of sunshine. With his soft, black-and-white fur, curious eyes, and lively nature, he brings a piece of joy to the shelter every day. Together with his mother, he was brought in by the dog catchers – a fate that many dogs in Romania share. But Robby was lucky: he was saved and can now hope to find a real home. Robby shows himself as a friendly, loving, and playful little boy. He loves being close to people, enjoys cuddles, and is full of curiosity about the big world outside. He gets along well with other dogs, plays happily, and shows an open, cheerful nature. Like all puppies, Robby is still at the very beginning of his life – and likely only knows the loud shelter so far. This means: The life in a family with all its new impressions, sounds, and routines is completely foreign to him. His new people should therefore bring patience, love, and humor, because Robby still has to learn everything – house training, leash walking, being alone, car rides, and dealing with different environmental influences. In the coming months, Robby will also enter puberty – an exciting, sometimes also challenging time when young dogs test boundaries and often forget what they have just learned. This is normal and part of growing up. With clear, loving guidance and consistency, Robby will also master this phase. For Robby, we wish for a home that offers him security, structure, and a lot of love. People who enjoy showing a young dog life, learning with it, laughing, and going through all adventures together. A positively working dog training class would be ideal to support his learning and strengthen the bond to his people. Robby brings everything with him that one could wish for from a best friend: he is lively, curious, people-oriented, and full of energy – a little treasure on the lookout for his big chance. Robby travels vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and flea-treated, with an EU pet passport, after a positive Robby was named by Jutta H. Stand: 02.11.

Stand: 02.11.2025

About Robby

What life with Robby looks like

Robby is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Robby, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Robby?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Robby on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Robby if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Robby already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Robby isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Robby and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
