Rocket Racoon

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 5 months

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! The little Rocket Racoon had great luck and was allowed to travel to his new home. His story: Rocket Racoon and his seven siblings are packed and waiting eagerly in Romania for their travel arrangements to their new home. The little ones must not stay in the animal shelter and we wish them to learn at a young age what it means to belong to a real family. Attention Attention, here comes Rocket Racoon! Even though this cute fellow isn't on a mission as a superhero in the galaxy, he is still an intelligent, playful, and loyal companion. Rocket Racoon is around 5 months old and has a wiggly, playful, and very social nature. Despite this, the little male dog with the pretty facial coloring is not hyperactive and does come to rest well. When fully grown, Rocket Racoon is likely to be medium-sized and develop a slim, athletic build. We wish the little Rocket Racoon, despite his wonderful nature so far, people who are willing to not have high expectations of him. House training, leash manners, and basic commands; these are all things that Rocket Racoon must learn step by step. But with treats and lots of patience and love, the little puppy will have it down in no time. Puberty is still on the horizon. A time when young puppies often have a bit of mischief in their heads and like to test their limits. With sovereign and loving consistency, one should accompany Rocket Racoon through this time. He would be thrilled about a visit to a positively working puppy or dog school. After a positive visit, he will be microchipped, dewormed, and equipped with an EU pet passport. He would also be thrilled about a loving foster home. Do you perhaps have a cozy dog bed free for Rocket Racoon? We look forward to your inquiry! Many thanks to Julia! You gave Rocket Racoon his name.

Vielen Dank an Julia! Du hast Rocket Racoon seinen Namen geschenkt.

About Rocket Racoon

What life with Rocket Racoon looks like

Rocket Racoon is a extra-large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rocket Racoon, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rocket Racoon?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rocket Racoon on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rocket Racoon if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Rocket Racoon already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rocket Racoon isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rocket Racoon and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
