I am Roger, a very special Dobermann. Currently, I unfortunately live in the animal shelter. Honestly, I don't like it at all. I miss having a person by my side, I suffer here a lot, and I have already lost weight. That's why all I want is my own home where I can finally settle in. They put a lot of effort into being fair to me, but it just isn't enough for me. What you should know about me: I form very strong bonds with my people. If I love you, I love you fully. With all my heart. You go to the bathroom? I accompany you morally. You do gardening? I take on the quality assurance. It can happen that I still want to discuss one or the other decision. I am very smart and learn quickly. Really. Show me something a few times and I will understand. If you then want to continue practicing, it could happen that I look at you with a glance that means: "Yes, I know. I understood it ten minutes ago. What's next?" That's why I look for people who enjoy working with me and mentally challenging me. Because if no one makes the decisions, I am happy to do it myself. And believe me: I have an opinion on everything. Roger is despite his imposing appearance a rather sensitive type. If you give him security, trust, and orientation, he will be a fantastic companion. If he doesn't understand something, he questions the information and communicates very clearly and precisely. His outstanding intelligence stands out in dealing with him. Important for Roger is clear but gentle leadership. Not loud, not rough – that makes him insecure. As he learns quickly, he wishes to be challenged and supported in his new home. If you are looking for a quiet follower, Roger is not the right candidate. Similarly, Roger does not understand if he is treated unfairly or if communication with him is unclear. Then he quickly switches to "autopilot" and does what he believes is right. Roger does not follow blindly; he wants to understand. Schenke mir ein Umfeld, in dem ich mich sicher und geborgen fühlen kann. Roger ist ein junger Dobermann mit viel Potenzial, der die richtigen Menschen an seiner Seite sucht. Er ist ein sensibler und reaktiver Hund, der aktuell intensiv daran arbeitet, beim Spazierengehen mehr Ruhe zu finden. Bereits jetzt zeigt er tolle Fortschritte und läuft schon sehr brav an der Leine. Bei Hundebegegnungen fällt es Roger noch schwer, gelassen zu bleiben. Andere Tiere möchte er grundsätzlich nicht in seinem Umfeld haben, weshalb er ein Zuhause als Einzelhund sucht. Für Roger werden hundeerfahrene Menschen gesucht, die sein Verhalten verstehen und bereit sind, weiter mit ihm zu arbeiten. Er braucht einen klaren, souveränen und verlässlichen Menschen, der ihm mit viel Ruhe, Geduld und Konsequenz Sicherheit vermittelt. Unter Druck oder Hektik kann Roger nicht gut lernen – er benötigt eine entspannte Führung und ausreichend Zeit, Vertrauen aufzubauen.
