Roksi is a young female dog of the Caucasian Shepherd Dog breed. She ended up at the shelter after escaping from her previous home, where she was the main instigator of the escapes. She is the sister of another one of our residents, Baloo, and the owner has relinquished all rights to both her and Baloo. Roksi exhibits strong breed characteristics: she tends to be cautious, alert, and reserved toward strangers, and it takes more than just a brief encounter to earn her trust. She’s a powerful dog that requires an experienced, stable guardian who can set clear boundaries. With people she knows well, she remains calm and composed; beneath her somewhat distant exterior lies a very intelligent, joyful, and valuable female dog. She has had contact with children and, once she gets to know them, she develops a good relationship with them—but due to her size, she needs constant supervision by adults. She instinctively chases cats; in her previous home, she didn’t harm them, but we don’t know yet whether she’ll get along with cats in the long term. We’re looking for a home with a securely fenced yard, where she’ll have the freedom to decide whether she wants to stay outside or inside the house. An important condition for adoption is that Roksi undergo several introductory walks at the shelter, so she can gradually build a bond with her new guardian. At the moment, the female dog is healthy, strong, and doesn’t require a special diet.

Roksi to młoda suczka w typie owczarka kaukaskiego. Do schroniska trafiła po ucieczkach z poprzedniego domu, których była główną inicjatorką. Jest siostrą innego naszego podopiecznego, Baloo, a właściciel zrzekł się praw zarówno do niej, jak i do Baloo. Roksi wykazuje silne cechy rasy: w stosunku do obcych bywa ostrożna, czujna i niedostępna, a jej zaufania nie da się zdobyć podczas jednego krótkiego spotkania. To silny pies wymagający doświadczonego, stabilnego opiekuna, który potrafi stawiać jasne granice. Wobec znanych sobie osób jest opanowana, a pod zdystansowaną maską kryje się bardzo mądra, radosna i wartościowa suczka. Miała kontakt z dziećmi i kiedy już je pozna to ma dobry stosunek, ale ze względu na jej gabaryty wymaga pełnej kontroli dorosłych. Instynktownie goni koty – w poprzednim domu ich nie krzywdziła, jednak nie wiemy czy na dłuższą metę dogada się z kotami. Szukamy dla niej domu z dobrze zabezpieczoną posesją, w którym będzie miała możliwość decydowania czy chce przebywać na zewnątrz, czy w środku domu. Ważnym warunkiem adopcji jest odbycie kilku spacerów zapoznawczych w schronisku, aby Roksi powoli zbudowała relację z nowym opiekunem. Suczka na ten moment jest zdrowa, silna i nie wymaga specjalistycznej diety.
