Adopt Roma

Female · Kitten

Roma RESERVED! Name: Roma Born: 10/2024 Gender: female dog Breed: Pinscher Size/Weight: 32-33 cm / approx. 5 kg Location: foster home Castellbisbal March 2026: The little Pinscher puppy Roma was placed with one of our wonderful volunteers when she was still a very small baby. In this family, she had a wonderful start to life. Socialization went completely smoothly. Roma has always lived with people, several other dogs, and even cats from the beginning. It was especially impressive to see how much Roma welcomed the little Podenca Bimba, who joined the family as a puppy, right from the first moment and supported her development. Roma is a lovable, playful, and clever little señorita. She was supposed to stay with her foster family, but her foster mom would now like to place her with a loving family to be able to take in another dog in need of help. The little Roma is already spayed and has received basic vaccinations. This little dream dog is now ready to travel and wants to make a family happy. This animal was surrendered to the shelter. This animal is vaccinated.

About Roma

What life with Roma looks like

Roma is a puppy/kitten cat waiting at Tierschutzengel Nordhorn in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Roma, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Roma?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzengel Nordhorn handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Roma on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Roma if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzengel Nordhorn will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Roma already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Roma isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzengel Nordhorn early rather than rehoming privately; they know Roma and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
