Romina is een ex zwerfkatje dat bij mensen was aanbeland. Maar helaas was dit toch niet de beste beslissing voor Romina, bleek achteraf. Ze bleef maanden op de hooizolder zitten zonder enige poging te doen om naar buiten te gaan in de tuin, omringende weides en fruitplantage. Gezien ze hier dus niet gelukkig was, werd beslist ze terug te vangen met vangkooi, want ze was niet aaibaar. Dit lukte gelukkig snel en zo kwam Romina terug in opvang. Ze toonde haar dankbaarheid door kopjes te geven en te spinnen. Ze laat zich nu dan ook makkelijk aaien. Wel schrikt ze nog erg van geluiden en onverwachte bewegingen. Ze kan dan ook nog blazen en uithalen, maar ze geeft het dan ook aan. Voor Romina zijn we op zoek naar een baasje die geduld met haar heeft en haar op haar tempo laat wennen. Kleine kinderen zijn geen optie. Hoewel Romina zelf nog snel schrikt, durft ze wel uit te halen naar andere opvangkatjes. Voor Romina is het eenvoudig: lekker eten, een comfortabele krabpaal, geduld, liefde en aaitjes. We verwachten dat Romina nog verder gaat openbloeien. Vandaar dat ze geplaatst wordt als “projectkatje”.
