Adopt Ron

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 10 years

Ron is our little- well, okay, maybe not that little, a scruffy little companion. dog, 10 years old but acts like a puppy. Can there be anything more adorable? Maybe he's missing a few teeth and isn't a dog from magazine covers, but he definitely doesn't lack joy in life. He's a trickster who will steal your snacks no matter how well you hide them, everything he sniffs out. And sitting on a walk with Ron poses a risk of being run over, because the guy doesn't quite realize his size which he wants to settle as close as possible to the caregiver. In his mind, he's the perfect dog for your lap and won't argue with you about it. Ron's story is very depressing - he came to us with his second dog straight from the house, because their owner could no longer take care of them. So, instead of a warm and peaceful autumn of life, he got a shelter box. However, it's amazing that Ron didn't lose his enthusiasm and energy that he brings with his presence. He's like a little sun, unaware of his age and the situation he's in. Ron is interested in other dogs, but not all accept him - in case of adoption to a home with other dogs, previous meeting is necessary. We hope someone will look beyond Ron's age and love him for who he is, and he is worth it.

About Ron

What life with Ron looks like

Ron is a small senior mixed breed dog waiting at Wesoly Kundelek in Poland.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ron, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ron?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Wesoly Kundelek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ron on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ron if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Wesoly Kundelek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ron already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ron isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Wesoly Kundelek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ron and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
