Adopt Roni (Роні)

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 3 years

Ronny, a long-haired snowshoe, rescued from the apartment of a woman who collects cats but forgets to even feed them. Young and very beautiful blue-eyed kitten Ronny slept in the apartment, and in the morning he went out through an open window on the first floor and spent the whole day running on the street with other fluffy ones. Sometimes in the evening, when he wanted to go home, the gate was closed. Then he stayed the whole night under the windows. The neighbors fed Ronny, who felt sorry for the cats. They were the ones who contacted us for help in adoption. Ronny can live either in a private house or in an apartment with screens on the balcony and all gates. Because he is used to the window being an exit to the street. And he might do the same in a new home. We took Ronny into foster care to get him used to the litter box, but he gets very stressed in enclosed spaces. A family is needed that will understand that at first Ronny will want to go out (to the toilet and just to play). A home is urgently needed, because Ronny is a big cat and keeping him in a cage is difficult, he is constantly trying to escape. The feeder took Ronny into her arms. When the stress passes, he will come to you, especially for treats. He takes care of his fur himself, only quality food and parasite treatment is needed.

About Roni (Роні)

What life with Roni (Роні) looks like

Roni (Роні) is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Happy Paw Kyiv in Ukraine.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

Frequently asked

Adopting Roni (Роні), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Roni (Роні)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Happy Paw Kyiv handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Roni (Роні) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Roni (Роні) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Happy Paw Kyiv will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Roni (Роні) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Roni (Роні) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Happy Paw Kyiv early rather than rehoming privately; they know Roni (Роні) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (UK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
