This is Rooie, a beautiful red 11-year-old tomcat. And if you had to describe him in one word? Cuddle cat. Rooie loves attention, stroking and coziness. He prefers to lie on the couch with you, enjoying all the attention he can get. And if there's also something tasty involved, his day is complete. Rooie is now a real senior, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have any more wishes. On the contrary! He would love to be able to go outside occasionally. A safe outdoor space, such as a balcony where he can lie in the sun, would be fantastic for him. Take a look at the world, sunbathe a bit and then go back inside for a cuddle. What Rooie finds less pleasant is being alone for a long time. He is really a companion cat and would therefore prefer to end up with someone who is home a lot. A master with whom he can hang out on the couch, take a nap and get a nice cuddle from time to time: that sounds like the perfect life for Rooie. Rooie could possibly be placed together with his sister. Older children are no problem for him either. Rooie has thyroid problems for which he needs a pill twice a day. Fortunately, that is absolutely no drama for him: he takes his medication very easily. A little extra care, but a lot of love in return. Dit is Rooie, een prachtige rode kater van 11 jaar oud. En als je hem in één woord zou moeten omschrijven? Knuffelkont. Rooie is dol op aandacht, kroelen en gezelligheid. Het liefst ligt hij lekker bij je op de bank, genietend van alle aandacht die hij kan krijgen. En als daar ook nog iets lekkers bij komt kijken, is zijn dag helemaal compleet. Rooie is inmiddels een echte senior, maar dat betekent absoluut niet dat hij geen wensen meer heeft. Integendeel! Hij zou het heerlijk vinden om af en toe naar buiten te kunnen. Een veilige buitenruimte, zoals een balkon waar hij lekker in het zonnetje kan liggen, zou voor hem al fantastisch zijn. Even de wereld bekijken, een beetje zonnen en daarna weer lekker naar binnen voor een knuffel. Wat Rooie minder fijn vindt, is veel alleen zijn. Hij is echt een gezelschapskat en zou daarom het liefst terechtkomen bij iemand die veel thuis is. Een baasje waarmee hij samen op de bank kan hangen, een beetje kan dutten en ondertussen af en toe een lekkere kroel kan krijgen: dát klinkt voor Rooie als het perfecte leven. Rooie zou eventueel samen met zijn zus geplaatst kunnen worden. Ook oudere kinderen zijn voor hem geen probleem. Rooie heeft schildklierproblemen waarvoor hij twee keer per dag een pilletje nodig heeft. Gelukkig is dat bij hem absoluut geen drama: hij neemt zijn medicatie heel makkelijk in. Een klein beetje extra zorg dus, maar daar staat een heleboel liefde tegenover.
