ROS2255

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

Important Information : All of our kittens available for adoption will only be placed as indoor house cats, becoming part of the family — safe, loved, and cared for. The same goes for adult cats, unless we are specifically seeking Barn Homes. Meet handsome ginger boy Reggie &; Approx 3–5 years old, Reggie is a gentle giant with a quiet, shy nature. He loves peaceful spaces and can usually be found relaxing up high where he can watch the world go by. The higher the perch, the better! Reggie enjoys gentle head scratches and will politely let you know when he’s had enough affection. He is comfortable around other cats and has recently started to play with the male cats in foster care, though he is still nervous around female cats. When Reggie first came into foster, he had a serious wound on his back. Thankfully it has healed beautifully, his fur is growing back well, and while he may always have a small mark, it doesn’t take away from his beauty and won’t cause him any future problems. Reggie is neutered, litter trained, and ready to find a calm, loving home where he can continue to build his confidence at his own pace. Could you be the one to give this sweet boy his second chance? A Lifelong Commitment Please be sure you can provide a stable, loving home for life. Why We Do Home Checks Home checks are a simple, supportive step in our adoption process. They’re not about judging your home — they’re about making sure every rescue pet is placed safely and set up for a happy life. What a Home Check Does Confirms the home and garden are safe and secure- Helps us match the right animal to the right environment- Allows us to offer advice for settling your new pet in- Ensures every adoption is a lifelong, stable placement. A home check is the final step in giving a rescue animal the safe, loving future they deserve. Together, we make sure their next home is truly their forever home. It will be necessary for us to conduct a home visit in order to ensure that our cats and kittens are being rehomed in suitable environments. It will also give you the chance to ask questions.

About ROS2255

What life with ROS2255 looks like

ROS2255 is a small adult mixed breed cat waiting at Roscommon National CAT ADOPTION in Co. Roscommon.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇮🇪Adopting from Ireland

Irish shelters require a home check (often phone or video) and an adoption contract. Animals are vaccinated, chipped, and registered. Cross-border placements to mainland Europe require the rabies titer test (TRACES system).

Frequently asked

Adopting ROS2255, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about ROS2255?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Roscommon National CAT ADOPTION handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw ROS2255 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt ROS2255 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Roscommon National CAT ADOPTION will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is ROS2255 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if ROS2255 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Roscommon National CAT ADOPTION early rather than rehoming privately; they know ROS2255 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
