Adopt ROXI

Rottweiler · Female · Adult · 6 years

ROXI is about a 6-year-old female dog of Rottweiler type, who came to the animal shelter due to her previous owners' move. For ROXI it's a big change, but from the very first moments she showed how wonderful a dog she is. ROXI loves people with all her heart. She is open, very eager for contact with humans. She loves cuddling, petting and of course treats! Toys bring her great joy. She plays with them with such enthusiasm as if she had just discovered something so fantastic. Looking at her it's hard not to smile, her joy is simply contagious. From information from her previous home we know that ROXI was not friendly towards other animals, so she would best find herself as the only animal princess in the house. On the other hand, she loves people infinitely and will certainly repay with an abundance of love and loyalty. We are looking for a responsible, loving home for her, which will show her that life can still be beautiful.

Uwielbia przytulanie, głaskanie i oczywiście smaczki!

About ROXI

What life with ROXI looks like

ROXI is a large adult rottweiler dog waiting at Schronisko Kraków in Kraków.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting ROXI, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about ROXI?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Kraków handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw ROXI on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt ROXI if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Kraków will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is ROXI already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if ROXI isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Kraków early rather than rehoming privately; they know ROXI and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
