Roxi arrived at the animal shelter with her sister in July 2023. Both were abandoned in the commune of Cieszków, in places distant from each other, so obviously someone driving a car threw one out and then the other after some distance :( Both female dogs were about 6 months old and judging by their behavior - bad experiences with humans or none at all. We have made a lot of progress with them at the animal shelter, but greater progress is possible in calm, home conditions. Roxi still doesn't like human touch, although she allows us to gently stroke behind her ear ;) She loves going for walks and comes to the leash on her own. She gets along well with dogs she knows, does not get into conflicts. She has a strong food motivation, so working with treats can work wonders. Roxi is tiny, a small terrier. She would do well in the company of another balanced dog. We are looking for a home with a well-fenced yard, where in the first weeks she will have space to get used to a new person but also the possibility of isolating herself in case of a stressful situation. The female dog is contact and looks at the human with curiosity, very much wants to establish a relationship, but fear still slightly blocks her. Roxi is over a year old, and has been spayed. Roxi trafiła do schroniska wraz z siostrą, w lipcu 2023 roku. Obie zostały porzucone w gminie Cieszków, w miejscach oddalonych od siebie, więc ewidentnie ktoś jadąc samochodem wyrzucił jedną a po pewnej odległości drugą :( Obie suczki miały około 6 miesięcy i oceniając zachowanie - złe doświadczenia z człowiekiem albo nie miały ich wcale. Dużo wypracowaliśmy z nimi na terenie schroniska, ale większe postępy są możliwe w spokojnych, domowych warunkach. Roxi nadal nie lubi dotyku człowieka, choć nam pozwala na delikatne smeranie za uchem ;) Uwielbia za to chodzić na spacery i sama podchodzi do zapięcia smyczy. Dobrze dogaduje się z psami, które zna, nie wchodzi w konflikty. Ma sporą motywację pokarmową, więc praca ze smaczkami potrafi zdziałać cuda. Roxi jest malutka, postury jamnika. Dobrze będzie się czuła w towarzystwie innego, zrównoważonego psa. Szukamy dla niej domu z dobrze ogrodzoną posesją, gdzie pierwsze tygodnie będzie mogła mieć przestrzeń na oswojenie się z nowym człowiekiem ale też możliwość odizolowania się w razie sytuacji stresującej. Suczka jest kontaktowa i z ciekawością przygląda się człowiekowi, bardzo chce nawiązać relację, ale strach ją jeszcze ciut blokuje. Roxi ma ponad rok, jest po zabiegu kastracji.
