Roxy, also known as Mama Roxy, is a sweet and easy-going female cat. She adapts quickly and has lived both outdoors and in a shelter, where she has already felt at home. The shelter is home to many cats of all ages, colors, and breeds, and Roxy is fine with that. She has her own unique personality, though. Our shelter staff will tell you more about her: A cuddler (on her terms): Roxy is very affectionate with her humans and loves giving soft head pats. She's not comfortable being picked up just yet, so her paws prefer to stay on the ground. A seeker of peace and a secret hunter: She currently lives among cats of all ages. If the other cats are too pushy or dominant, she subtly retreats to a safe distance to observe quietly. But don't let her fool you... as soon as the laser pointer appears, she transforms into an enthusiastic hunter and plays nicely with the kittens! Or she enjoys playing in the fun donut car (actually meant for the little ones). A foodie: Not just kibble for this lady! Roxy is a real foodie and prefers her Gourmet pouches. She also likes to eat them separately and in peace. Only when she's really hungry and there's nothing else, does she scavenge the leftovers from the other bowls. Roxy can be placed with 1 or 2 other cats (young or old), as long as they're not too dominant or pushy. Even better: Roxy could be placed with her son Raf! This is not a must, but they make a very nice and harmonious duo. What we're looking for for Roxy: A home where she can occasionally go outside (a safe garden or a quiet, safe environment) A family that respects her need for peace and doesn't just pick her up, but lets her get used to her new home and people at her own pace. Parents who want to spoil her with her favorite Gourmet meals. A home without too dominant or pushy pets. Hai ik ben Roxy, ook wel mama Roxy genoemd. Ik ben een ontzettend lieve kattendame met een heel makkelijk karakter. Ik pas me namelijk heel snel aan. Ik leefde op de vrije buiten en verhuisde met mijn kindjes Raf en Ronny naar de opvang waar ik me ook meteen thuis voelde. Hier lopen heel wat katjes rond in alle kleuren, modellen, jong en oud en dat vind ik allemaal prima. Natuurlijk heb ik ook wel mijn eigen unieke karakter. Onze opvangmama’s zullen ze voor jullie even op een rijtje zetten: Een knuffelkont (op haar voorwaarden): Roxy is zeer lief voor haar mensen en komt ontzettend graag zachte kopjes geven. Opgetild worden vindt ze voorlopig nog een beetje raar en eng, dus haar pootjes blijven het liefst op de grond. Rustzoeker én stiekeme jager: Ze leeft momenteel tussen katten van allerlei leeftijden. Als de andere katten te opdringerig of dominant zijn, trekt ze zich subtiel terug op een veilig afstandje om rustig toe te kijken. Maar verlies haar niet uit het oog... zodra het laserlampje tevoorschijn komt, verandert ze in een enthousiaste jager en doet ze súpergezellig mee met de kittens! Of gek doen in die leuke donutauto (die eigenlijk voor de kleintjes bedoeld is). Fijnproever: Niet alleen maar brokjes voor deze dame! Roxy is een echte fijnproever en eet het liefst haar eigen zakjes van Gourmet. Ze eet dit ook graag apart en in alle rust op. Pas als ze écht nog honger heeft en er niks anders is, struint ze de overgebleven restjes van de andere bakjes af. Roxy kan perfect geplaatst worden bij 1 of 2 andere katten (jong of oud), zolang deze maar niet te dominant of opdringerig zijn. Nog leuker: Roxy zou eventueel samen geplaatst kunnen worden met haar zoontje Raf! Dit is geen absolute must, maar ze vormen samen wel een heel leuk en harmonieus duo. Wat zoeken wij voor Roxy? Een thuis waar ze eventueel na een tijdje af en toe eens rustig buiten kan (een veilige tuin of een rustige veilige omgeving) Een gezin dat haar rust respecteert en haar niet zomaar optilt , maar haar op eigen tempo laat wennen aan haar nieuwe huisje en mensen. Baasjes die haar lekker willen verwennen met haar favoriete Gourmet-maaltjes. Een huisje zonder al te dominante of opdringerige huisdieren.
