Adopt Roxy und Mulan

Click on the image for a larger view. Roxy und Mulan are two adorable former stray cats that were rescued over a year ago and have since been lovingly raised in their foster home. From once small, wild kittens, they have grown into two strong-character young cats – each with their own unique charm. 🤎 Roxy – the Reserved One with Great Potential Roxy is the shyer of the two. She curiously observes from a safe distance and decides for herself when to allow closeness. Sometimes she also enjoys short cuddles – very gently and sensitively. Inside her lies a little adventurer: She clearly shows that she would be very happy to have outdoor access later. 🖤 Mulan – the Gentle People-Friendly One The formerly shy Mulan has developed wonderfully in the foster home and is now quite tame. She actively seeks human contact, enjoys closeness, and is pleased with attention. 🐶 Dog Experience & Living Conditions Both are familiar with dogs and get along well with them. They are currently suitable for apartment living – however, an outdoor-accessible home would be ideal for Roxy, while Mulan seems more flexible. 💛 Looking for a Patient, Loving Home For these two sweeties, we are looking for people who can approach them with calmness, patience, and understanding. People who accept that trust can grow – at their own pace. Whoever gives them this chance will gain two wonderful companions who will surely win the hearts of their new families. Who will fall in love with Roxy und Mulan and want to give them a home where they can settle in, flourish, and perhaps even become very tame? Roxy was caught as a wild cat in Egringen by us. Currently, she is still in quarantine and needs to be vaccinated. We don't know her exact age, but we estimate that she is around eight weeks old. She is looking for a loving home with outdoor access and patient people who can handle her temperament.

About Roxy und Mulan

What life with Roxy und Mulan looks like

Roxy und Mulan is a large young adult cat waiting at Tierschutzverein Weil am Rhein e.V. in Weil am Rhein.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Roxy und Mulan, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Roxy und Mulan?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Weil am Rhein e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Roxy und Mulan on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Roxy und Mulan if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Weil am Rhein e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Roxy und Mulan already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Roxy und Mulan isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Weil am Rhein e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Roxy und Mulan and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
