He is a calm, balanced and very people-oriented dog. He loves the closeness to his humans, enjoys petting and would love to just lie with you and enjoy the time together. He also shows himself open and friendly to strangers. Despite his age, he still enjoys exploring his surroundings, he enjoys walks and walks relaxed on a leash. He can sniff extensively, because he loves interesting smells. He generally gets along well with other dogs, especially with females he shows himself very social. With males, however, he should be watched more closely and especially pay attention, otherwise conflicts can arise. With other dogs he currently shows himself friendly and not aggressive. He has a strong hunting instinct, especially towards rabbits and birds. Small animals, cats and poultry should therefore not live in his new home. What makes Rubio particularly special is his loving, kind and uncomplicated nature and he does not need sporty people. Er ist ein ruhiger, ausgeglichener und sehr menschenbezogener Hund. Er liebt die Nähe zu seinen Menschen, genießt Streicheleinheiten und würde am liebsten einfach bei Ihnen liegen und die gemeinsame Zeit genießen. Auch fremden Menschen gegenüber zeigt er sich offen und freundlich. Trotz seines Alters hat er noch Freude daran seine Umgebung zu erkunden, er genießt Sparziergänge und läuft entspannt an der Leine. Dabei darf ausgiebig geschnüffelt werden, denn interessante Gerüche findet er klasse. Mit anderen Hunden kommt er grundsätzlich gut zurecht, besonders mit Hündinnen zeigt er sich sehr sozial. Bei Rüden sollte man dagegen genauer schauen und besonders darauf achten, sonst kann es zu Konflikten kommen. Mit fremden Hunden zeigt er sich aktuell freundlich und nicht aggressiv. Er hat einen ausgeprägten Jagdinstinkt, insbesondere gegenüber Kanichen und Vögeln. Kleintiere, Katzen und Geflügel sollten deshalb keine in seinem neuen Zuhause leben. Was Rubio ganz besonders auszeichnet ist sein liebevolles, gutmütiges und unkompliziertes Wesen und er braucht keine sportlichen Menschen.
