RUDI

British Shorthair · Male

Rudi is a British Shorthair male cat, born around 2022. He came to our shelter as a found animal and is now looking for a loving home. The handsome cat is already neutered. Rudi wants a home where he can enjoy the full attention of his humans. He does not want to share his home with other cats and is therefore looking for a place as a single cat. He is affectionate, people-oriented and affectionate. Rudi is also playful and likes to be talkative, so he actively seeks contact with his humans. Due to his friendly nature, we can also imagine Rudi well in a family. People who enjoy a communicative and loving cat will find a great companion in Rudi. As a British Shorthair, Rudi has an increased risk of breed-specific diseases over the course of his life. His future owners should be aware of this and pay attention to regular veterinary care. -0 Fax: 089/90 73 20 Email

-0Fax: 089/90 73 20E-Mail

About RUDI

What life with RUDI looks like

RUDI is a adult british shorthair cat waiting at Tierschutzverein München.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting RUDI, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about RUDI?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein München handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw RUDI on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt RUDI if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein München will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is RUDI already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if RUDI isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein München early rather than rehoming privately; they know RUDI and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
