Ruffy & Zorro

Male

Ruffy ♥ Zorro ♥ Birthdate: ca. 2023 Ruffy and Zorro are two charming rabbit brothers who were born around 2023 and have been inseparable ever since. Their story is a powerful testament to the strength of their bond. Ruffy came to us as a found rabbit, while Zorro was taken in as a surrender rabbit a few weeks later. The time apart has clearly affected both of them - the moment they were reunited was all the more beautiful. Since then, they are rarely seen apart and clearly enjoy being reunited. 💙 It is immediately apparent that the two have a very special brotherly connection. They give each other security, cuddle together, explore their surroundings together, and navigate their daily lives side by side. Therefore, Ruffy and Zorro are only ever rehomed together. Separation is not an option for the two. We wish for the brothers a loving home with plenty of space to run, hop, dig, and discover. They want the opportunity to let off steam, live out their curious nature, and spend many happy rabbit years together. Whoever gives Ruffy and Zorro a home is not only giving them two great rabbits, but a well-rehearsed team that shows the strength of sibling love. All they need now is one thing: people who give them a forever home together.

About Ruffy & Zorro

What life with Ruffy & Zorro looks like

Ruffy & Zorro is a small adult rabbit waiting at Tierschutzverein Pfungstadt und Umgebung e.V in Pfungstadt.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

Paperwork, vet checks and transport rules differ by species and by country. Ask the shelter what is included and what you will need to arrange before you commit.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ruffy & Zorro, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ruffy & Zorro?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Pfungstadt und Umgebung e.V handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ruffy & Zorro on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ruffy & Zorro if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a rabbit can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Tierschutzverein Pfungstadt und Umgebung e.V what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Ruffy & Zorro already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a rabbit comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Tierschutzverein Pfungstadt und Umgebung e.V directly what is included and what Ruffy & Zorro still needs.
What happens if Ruffy & Zorro isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Pfungstadt und Umgebung e.V early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ruffy & Zorro and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
