Ruffy – Die lieben Sieben

Mixed Breed · Male · Kitten

Ruffy is a playful, curious and lively young tomcat. He loves to frolic, explore his surroundings and discover everything that moves. In addition to his playful nature, Ruffy is also very affectionate. He enjoys seeking attention from his humans and makes himself known with a soft meow when he wants affection. Ruffy was raised with his six siblings, partly bottle-fed, and is therefore accustomed to humans from an early age. Ruffy was born on 14.08.2026 and is microchipped and vaccinated. He is looking for a home in apartment living or with a secure garden or balcony. A social cat should already be present. Alternatively, Ruffy can be placed with one of his siblings. His new humans should have enough time for him, enjoy playing with him and give him the attention he needs.

About Ruffy – Die lieben Sieben

What life with Ruffy – Die lieben Sieben looks like

Ruffy – Die lieben Sieben is a small kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Katzenrettung Gangelt e.V. in Gangelt.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ruffy – Die lieben Sieben, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ruffy – Die lieben Sieben?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Katzenrettung Gangelt e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ruffy – Die lieben Sieben on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ruffy – Die lieben Sieben if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Katzenrettung Gangelt e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Ruffy – Die lieben Sieben already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ruffy – Die lieben Sieben isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Katzenrettung Gangelt e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ruffy – Die lieben Sieben and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
