Male / neutered Age: born 01.05.2021 Location: Shelter / Portugal Compatibility: Females and males Rupert was found abandoned on the street. Rupert is a beautiful English Setter dog and embodies the typical character of this breed. He is gentle, affectionate and full of energy. As he is also quite sensitive, new situations easily get him excited; but with love, patience and trust-building, wonderful progress can be achieved. In dealing with other dogs, he shows himself to be social: he seeks contact for playing and would like to romp around with them. On a leash, he still behaves somewhat clumsy and definitely needs some practice. We wish for Rupert a quiet home so that he can get used to new things at his own pace. He is a beautiful dog who will develop into a loyal companion once he has really arrived. It should be noted that every animal shelter dog, especially with regard to its past, brings its own story. Therefore, we can never predict how the dog actually develops and reacts to living together in Germany with you / you. Rupert can travel to a foster or final home.

Rupert ist ein wunderschöner Hund vom Typ English Setter und verkörpert den typischen Charakter dieser Rasse. Er ist sanftmütig, verschmust und voller Energie. Da er zudem recht sensibel ist, versetzen ihn neue Situationen leicht in Aufregung; doch mit Liebe, Geduld und Vertrauensaufbau lassen sich wunderbare Fortschritte erzielen. Im Umgang mit anderen Hunden zeigt er sich sozial: Er sucht den Kontakt zum Spielen und möchte gerne mit ihnen herumtoben. An der Leine verhält er sich noch etwas tollpatschig und braucht definitiv noch etwas Übung. Wir wünschen uns für Rupert ein ruhiges Zuhause, damit er sich in seinem eigenen Tempo an neue Dinge gewöhnen kann. Er ist ein wunderschöner Hund, der sich – sobald er erst einmal richtig angekommen ist – zu einem treuen Begleiter entwickeln wird. Anzumerken ist, dass jeder Tierschutzhund, gerade auch im Hinblick auf seine Vergangenheit, seine eigene Geschichte mitbringt. Wir können deshalb nie vorhersagen, wie der Hund sich tatsächlich entwickelt und auf das Zusammenleben in Deutschland mit dir/euch reagieren wird. Rupert kann auf eine Pflege- oder Endstelle reisen.
